Using Troyka means agreeing to what is written here. It is short on purpose.
These terms are an agreement between you and Brigitte DO VALLE-SANTOS (EI), 830 Route de Choisi, 82290 La Ville-Dieu-du-Temple, France, France — the developer of Troyka. They replace Apple's standard licence agreement for this app.
Troyka is an iPhone app that counts the days you go without a habit you chose to quit, and lets you write to Troy, an AI companion, when a craving hits.
It is not medical care. Troyka does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, including addiction. Troy is an AI, not a doctor, therapist or counsellor, and nothing he says is medical advice. If you are in crisis or your health is at risk, contact a medical professional or your local emergency service.
You get an anonymous account the first time you open the app, and you can upgrade it by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method; if you lose it, we may not be able to restore your history. One person, one account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher.
Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account, and the price shown in the App Store is what applies in your country. Prices in the United States at the time of writing:
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Talking to Troy costs us money per message, so Pro includes generous but finite limits. We may adjust them to keep the service running, and we will show you what you have left inside the app rather than cutting you off silently. Automating, reselling or scraping Troy is not allowed.
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service — to store your text on your device and in your iCloud, and to pass your message to the AI provider so Troy can answer. We do not use it to train models and we do not publish it.
Do not use Troyka to break the law, to harm yourself or anyone else, or to try to get medical advice out of Troy.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app; it happens immediately and permanently. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or puts other people at risk.
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Troyka on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy it, sell it, rent it, reverse-engineer it, or use it outside those rules.
The app, its name, its design and Troy's voice belong to us. Your promises, your days and what you write belong to you.
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Troyka. If the app does not work, we provide support, not Apple — write to support@troyka.app. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may ask Apple for a refund of the purchase price; beyond that refund, Apple has no warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property, for product liability claims, and for claims under consumer protection law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Troyka is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for what you decide to do based on what the app or Troy says. Nothing here limits rights you have by law in your country, including consumer rights.
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a case before the courts there. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
